Lowe Schollum & Jones Ltd was formed in 1996 by Mike Lowe, David Schollum, and Carmen Jones.

In 1986, both Mike and David were working for Jardine Insurance Brokers where in 1992 Carmen joined them. In 1995, Jardine Insurance Brokers Ltd acquired the Marsh and McLennan Ltd local authority portfolio and became specialists in this area. In return, Marsh and McLennan Ltd purchased Jardine’s general business portfolio. Mike, David and Carmen moved to Marsh and McLennan Ltd during that time.

On 1 October 1996, Lowe Schollum & Jones Ltd was formed. They bought out the majority of accounts previously owned by Jardine Insurance Brokers Ltd and a formal service agreement was arranged for Lowe Schollum & Jones Ltd to provide Insurance Broking services for all Marsh and McLennan Ltd Waikato Clients.

Since that time, Lowe Schollum & Jones Ltd has become one of the largest Insurance Broking Houses in the Waikato and is associated with the large international Broking House, Marsh Ltd.

In early 2004, Carmen Jones left the company to start a family with her husband, Jason Robottom who subsequently took over her role as Director.

Based in Hamilton, Lowe Schollum & Jones Limited are a 100% locally owned professional Insurance Broking company specialising in commercial insurances for risks situated throughout New Zealand.
